Artist Bio
My interest in art began at a young age when my mother took me to the Amon Carter Art Museum in Fort Worth. I learned that when there was an impressionist group of paintings, you could see a picture when you were standing far away, but when you were close to the painting, it was just different blobs of colors. This was fascinating to me. I am a colorist who paints in oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pastels enjoying a wide range of subjects – figures, still lifes, florals and landscapes.
My dreams of painting and developing a talent in art remained within me throughout my upbringing. I began to study art both in theory and practice, guided by the gifted, talented and notable artist Nancy Martin. Nancy’s work always inspired me, and the versatility she instilled in her students led me to create art with a wide variety of subjects and style.
As a member of the Richardson Art Association I have held various offices, including President, Vice President.
